This book will serve as a reference for policy makers and researchers working on biodiversity conservation issues in tropical regions.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.K. Tripathi

S.K. Tripathi, PhD, is the general manager f research and development as Sungro seeds Ltd. Delhi. He completed his studies at the University of Rajasthan, then joined Mahyco, the largest seed company in India in its research and development department as chief scientist before moving to his present position at Mahco’s sister organization Sungro seeds Ltd. His present research centers on breeding and commercialization of cole crops, solanaceous crops, and different types of cucurbits. He has numerous released commercial hybrids and varieties to his credit and had traveled internationally for his research work. Dr. Tripathi has numerous publications in international journals and has participated in several international conferences.
