Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, M. V. Sc., Ph.D. is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Pantnagar. He is having over 27 years of experience in teaching, research, extension and administration. He did his graduation in the year 1988 from College of Veterinary Sciences, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. He completed his Master’s in the year 2001 and Ph.D. in 2015. He has more than thirteen years of teaching experience. He has handled two research projects. He is member of 4 professional societies. Dr. Singh has published several research, semi research, review and technical articles. Dr. Singh has also contributed as member of editorial board, reviewer for various national and international journals.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.K. Dasgupta

S.K. dasgupta, PhD, is a senior research officer at Sungro Seeds Ltd. Delhi. He completed his studies in genetics and plant breeding from BCKV, West Bengal, India, and has worked in the Division of genetics and Plant Breeding at the Indian Agriculture research Institute. His principle area of work includes genetics and mapping of disease resistant genes in peas, market-assisted selection though molecular means, and transgenic vegetables. Dr. Dasgupta has published work in several international journals and has participated in numerous international conferences.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.K. Tripathi

S.K. Tripathi, PhD, is the general manager f research and development as Sungro seeds Ltd. Delhi. He completed his studies at the University of Rajasthan, then joined Mahyco, the largest seed company in India in its research and development department as chief scientist before moving to his present position at Mahco’s sister organization Sungro seeds Ltd. His present research centers on breeding and commercialization of cole crops, solanaceous crops, and different types of cucurbits. He has numerous released commercial hybrids and varieties to his credit and had traveled internationally for his research work. Dr. Tripathi has numerous publications in international journals and has participated in several international conferences.
