At the world convention for biological diversity, the definition for biological diversity was recommended. Biological diversity means the variability among living organism from all sources including interalia, terrestrial marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part. This includes diversity within species between species and of ecosystems.

Dr. Ahmad Husain, obtained his M.A. LL.B. and Ph.D. from the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Having an academic record with marked distinction, Dr. Husain has long been recognized as a writer of geography books. He had served the North Eastern Hill University, professor and head of the department respectively. He had been the Vice-President of the International Association of Landscape ecology. Actively busy in research, he has published over a dozen of books and several paper sin the national and international professional journals of geography.
