Drawing heavily on the writings of Professor D.S. Kothari and Mahatma Gandhi, this book analyses the concept of truth in science and religion. Providing a brief biographical sketch of prof. Kothari, it contains some papers on the subjects, including one by Prof. Kothari, which explains the principle of complementarity at a very elementary level in terms of a conversation between a classical physicist and a modern physicist. The concept of identity and non-identity, as explained by Lord Buddha, has also been elaborated. Besides reproducing Prof. Kothari’s lectures and articles, the book includes reviews of Dr. Kothari’s four books, published by D.S. Kothari Centre for Science, Ethics and Education, based on his lectures, convocation addresses and memorial lectures.
