Independent Bangladeshi s the outcome of the war of liberation in 1971. The seed of the war started germinating much earlier. The population of East Bengal who became East Pakistanis had a dram of harvesting their desires our of the partition of 1947. But very soon East Bengalis were frustrated on the face of west Pakistani designs and conspiracies. Thus several movements cropped up since 1952. The chapters on : Back-Ground of the Partition, Pre-Liberation Movement and War of Liberation shall give us a short history of frustrations of the East Bengalis that forced them to stand against the selfish and brute rulers of West Pakistan. On the face of indiscriminate killing of the unarmed civilians of East Bengal they had no other option but to enter into the soil of India. The struggle for independence continued simultaneously. These are focused in chapters Refugees in India and Support by the People of India. Diplomatic and physical war for the achievement of independence and physical war of the achievement of independence of Bangladesh is projected in chapters Intervention by India Surrender at Dhaka and List of Indians who Sacrificed their Lives for Independence of Bangladesh. She last chapter Post Liberation Support is about the prioritized supports that India extended to the newly born war ravaged republic. The Unique feature of this book is the causality list, which is for the first time made available to the people, is placed in the chapter List of Indians who Sacrificed their Lives for Independence of Bangladesh. This would surely attract many who had been directly or indirectly a part of the war of liberation. This would act as salutation to the dedicated officers and Jawans of the Indian Army. Contribution of India in the War of Liberation of Bangladesh an unforgettable book on the role of the Indian in the war of liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistani domination in 1971. Because of distortion of History systematically practiced in Bangladesh, most Bangladeshis today believe that their Mukti Bahini had liberated Bangladesh, with Indians playing a minor and auxiliary role. Shri Azad has called this bluff and documented extensively the memorable role of the Indian Armed Forces in this regard. This work is the first book from Bangladesh of Indian contribution in the story of 35 years Independent of Bangladesh.
