ABOUT THE AUTHOR G.L. Dobhal

Dr. G.L. Dobhal (b. 1936) was a Senior Reader in Economics in Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi since 1970 and retired in 2001. Earlier, he served as a Lecturers in Economics in Shambhu Dayal (Post-graduate) College, Ghaziabad under Meerut University, Meerut. Dr. Dobhal was awarded M.Phil and Ph.D. by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His field of specialization has been regional development and planning. He takes keen interest in the problems of development of the hill areas and has contributed articles in leading journals.
