E-Learning is a rapidly developing field. Many of he problems associated with the newness of e-learning are addressed and juxtaposed to the diverse approaches to e-learning adopted by the academic, government, corporate and community sectors. The argument that education is the fundamental purpose of e-learning is made, calling for an emphasis on human interaction rather than end goals. Educational organisations are advised to develop a clear rationale for adopting e-learning that takes into account the benefits and practical used of e-learning.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR P.P. Singh

Pavitar Parkash Singh is working as Assistant Professor in Punjab College of Technical Education, Ludhiana. He obtained his M.Sc. from Punjabi University, Patiala and Masters in Business Administration from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He graduated in Education also from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has great interest in science education, environment management and computer application. He has six years of working experience. Presently he is pursuing his Ph.D. He has authored and presented many research papers in national and international seminars and is providing consultancy to various industrial houses on the different projects. Recently, he participated and presented a paper in SAMF Conference, A SAARC Nations Organisation, held in Pakistan.

Sandhir Sharma is working as Assistant Professor with Punjab College of Technical Education, Ludhiana since 1999. He obtained his Post Graduation from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He has great interest in environment education and computer application. He has over 10 years of industry experience to his credit working with various industrial concerns. He has four years of teaching experience and has contributed and presented number of research papers in national and international seminars. He has undertaken number of researches and is actively involved in various consultancy projects. Recently he visited Bangladesh and was instrumental in singing of MoU with AIUB, Dhaka.
