The study has been conducted on male graduate students of Varanasi region and it also includes the differences and variations in the values, aspirations, job-preferences and academic – achievement in male, female students as also the further differences in these variables of groups in relation to their rural and urban orientation. The whole work has been divided into six chapters: Chapter one contains the conceptualization of the problem. Chapter two deals with review of related literature. The methodology of the study has been described in Chapter three. In Chapter four the classification, analyses and interpretations of the data have been given. Chapter five consists of the discussions of the results and Chapter six incorporates the results, conclusions, implication and suggestions of the present study.
