ABOUT THE AUTHOR Suresh Kant

Dr. Suresh Kumar, Known to the world of letters as Suresh Kant, was born on 16th June 1956 in village Karoda (Hathi), District Muzaffar Nagar, U.P. He obtained a first class post graduate degree from the university of Delhi and a post graduate diploma in Journalism as well as a Ph.D. from the Rajasthan University. Currently he has taken up research on 'The form of Banking and its Terminology in ancient India' for a D.Lit. Dr. Kant is a popular writer and writes for almost all leading newspapers and magazines. So far he has contributed more than 500 articles on the issues related to Banking, Finance, Management, Language, etc. He has more than 40 books to his credit. for his writings, he has been conferred several national level awards. His columns on Management and Satire in leading newspapers gained tremendous popularity. His five books on Management are considered excellent not only in Hindi but also in English works published in India. He is also known for his brilliant and enlightening lectures on Banking, Finance, Language and Literature at various banks, financial institutions, universities, etc. including RBI. He has played a crucial role in giving a new direction to Banking Terminology and Reference. Literature as the Convenor of Hindi Working Group of IBA and as a member of Terminology Amendment committee of RBI. He relinquished the post of Assistant General Manager (Official Language) in Reserve Bank of India after serving it for about 21 years to join State Bank of India as the Deputy General Manager (Official Language) which post he is holding since last 4 years.
