The chapters written by ethnobotanists of India deal with different aspects of ethnobotany. Covering different phytogeographical region of India, they take up several plant species for study belonging to different regions of the country and study their importance in treating ailments by providing cures and remedies. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anil Arora

Mr. Anil Arora is a multifaceted personality. Having commerce and C.A. inter background has done his Post-Graduation and M.Phil in Gandhian and Peace studies from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He is registered for Ph.D. on the topic “Corporate Colonialism in India”. Currently he is on the Guest Faculty of the department of Gandhian and Peace Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has published a number of researcher paper in various Journals of repute and participated in large number of national and international seminars/Conferences. He is also a Life Member of ISGS.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR B.B.S. Kapoor

Dr. B.B.S. Kapoor did his M.Sc. in Botany in 1977 and Ph.D. in 1992 from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He joined college education in 1977 as a lecturer and at present, he is working as a Associate Professor in P.G. Department of Botany, Govt. Dungar College, Bikaner. He is actively engated in research especially on Ecology of Rajasthan Desert and Medicinjal plants of this region. At present he is working as Principal Investigator in a major research project on Medicinal Plants of Rajasthan Desert sponsored by Medicinal Plants Board, New Delhi. He has published a number of research papers and articles in reputed scientific journals, magazines & books, conducted several research projects and has been supervising M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars. He has nine books to his credit. He is environmental thinker, educator & campaigner and is often invited by schools, Govt. and non-govt. institutions and organizations to deliver lectures on burning environmental issues. He is on the panel of All India Radio, Bikaner as an expert on environment. He has participated in a number of national and international seminars, conferences & workshops. He has honoured with several awards in the field of popularization of science and research on medicinal plants. At present, a series of publications by him on cultivation of medicinal plants and their utility in “Rajasthan Patrika”, Satat Varta”, “Krishi Mangal” and “Isheer Samachar Patrika” are very popular.
