Can executive coaching deliver lasting benefits to the individual and the organization? How is this best achieved? There has been a huge surge in the number of coaches, counsellers and consultants offering their services to business; this has led to skepticism in some parts and confusion in others. This insightful new book examines the issue from three perspectives: the coach, the person hiring the coach and the person being coached. Stuart McAdam worked for many years as HR Director for a major corporation and is now an executive coach, so he is particularly well paced to assess what is needed to achieve a successful coaching outcome. His book pragmatically examines what coaching can realistically achieve, who is a good candidate for coaching and how to maximize long-term value from the process. What is executive coaching? The organizational context, where executive coaching makes the difference, how does it work? The coach as consultant, What to look for in a coach, What to look for as a potential coach, Making this book work for you.
