Sociology, the scientific study of society deals with group behaviour, the relationship among men, and the factors entering into and ensuring from these relationships. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anand Sirohi

Anand Sirohi has a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Allahabad and a doctorate in the same from the University of Delhi. For more than fifteen years he has been actively associated with PRERNA, a Kolkata-based organization dedicated to the uplift of child labour and street children. He has written about a dozen papers on the problems of programme implementation in these areas.
