Section XII provides a brief profile of Professor Seetharama, Scientometric studies on Prof. SS, and Felicitations by his admirers, colleagues and students. It also covers a report on the Felicitation Function organized at Aurangabad.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR A.A. Vaishnav

Dr. Ashwini A. Vaishnav M.Sc. (BAMU), M.Lib.Sc. (S.N.D.T.), has topped the list of successful candidates at M.Lib.Sc. examination and secured “Malati Jayant Dalal Prize”. She earned doctorate in Library and Information Science from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 1995. She has been heading the Department of Library and Information Science at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad since 1994 and became Professor in 1999. She has to her credit 3 books, 71 research papers, 4 bibliographies. She has participated in 25 National and International seminars. She has served/serving on committees, senate, boards, and associated with 15 universities in different capacities. She has been the convenor of 5 National seminars, coordinator of 5 U.G.C. Refresher Courses, completed 3 research projects. She is a Life member of 4 Professional bodies and Vice-President of Indian Association of Teachers in Library and Information Science (IATLIS), Indian Library Association (ILA), Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres (IASLIC), Marathwada Library Association (MLA), etc.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR S. Gopalakrishnan

Dr. S. Gopalakrishnan is Assistant University Librarian, Anna University, MIT, Chennai. He possesses Master’s Degree in Political Science, and Library Information Science and Doctorate in LIS and Diploma in System Analysis and Data Processing. He has more than two decades of professional experience. He has prepared course material for distance education in LIS for Madras, Annamalai and Alagappa Universities. He has published more than 100 papers in the journals, edited volumes & National and International Seminar proceedings. He has written three books on Computers entitled “Fundamentals of Computers”, “Computer Programming Made Simple”, and “Computer and Software”. He has brought out a CD-ROM product on LIS for UGC NET / SLET examination. He has been awarded the Best Paper Award in the National Seminar on New Public Library in the Information Age during 2003.
