This book examines the role of mass communication in prevention and control of AIDS. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Archana Rakesh Singh

Archana Rakesh Singh (nee Shukla) is a faculty in mass communication at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Earlier, she taught at the Gwalior Study Centre of Makhan Lal Chaturvedi national Journalism University, Bhopal. Dr. Singh gained her Bachelor and Master degrees in Journalism from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyala, Jabalpur and the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, respectively and topped both. After clearing the University Grants Commission’s National Entrance test, she at AJKMCRC, New Delhi, where she completed her Ph.D. She has been involved with the subject of AIDS communication since the mid-1990s. She was a part of the investigating team from MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia for conducting AIDS awareness and Media search Survey amongst adolescents in Chennai.
