ABOUT THE AUTHOR Amritpal Singh

Dr. Amrit Pal Singh (born 1971) is a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).  He holds a postgraduate Diploma in Medicinal Botany and Certificate in Phytochemical Techniques.  He holds an honorary master’s degree in Alternative medicine.  He is perusing his MD (Dravyaguna) on basis of thesis ‘Efficiacy of Standardised Herbal Extracts in Type-1 Diabetes-An Experimental Study’.  He was involved in clinical trials on psoriasis, leucoderma and diabetes mellitus with herbal extracts in the Ayurvedic Wing of Sohana Eye Institute, Mohali.  He has published several papers in national and international journals and is author of several books related to Ayurveda, Medicinal plants and Ethomedicine.  He is action member of various herbal societies and organizations.  He is actively serving in editorial board of research journals related to Ayurveda and Phytotherapy.  He is associated in the capacity of herbal consultant with reputed pharmaceutical companies.  He has attended various national scientific conferences on medicinal plants and presented papers.
