ABOUT THE AUTHOR J.P. Sharma

J.P. Sharma J is Working as a Senior Scientists and Scientists-Inchagrge, ATIC at IARI, New Delhi. He has a vast experience of over 19 years conducting research, guiding teaching post graduate students, conducting training programmes and carrying out agricultural extension work in the field. He earned his doctorate degree from IIT, Delhi and post graduation from GBPUAT, Pantnagar; being awarded fellowships from IIT and UNDP respectively. He is an accredited entrepreneurial motivational trainer. He has to his credit researches on highly relevant topics assessment refinement of agricultural technologies, peri urban agriculture and entrepreneurship development conducted as part of funded projects from reputed national/international agencies. Many models. Strategies and extension approaches as a result of these studies have now been incorporated in the present extension system. He has published more than two hundred papers in reputed journals, edited several books, bulletins and journals. Dr. Sharma is member of various professional; committees and has been invited as consultant by various organizations. He is a renowned communicator and trainer who can motivate people effectively. At present he has contributed a lot as Secretary, IFWA and Founder President, Society for Community Mobilization for Sustainable Development (Mobilization).

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Meenakshi Chaudhary

Meenakshi Chaudhary is currently Assistant Professor in Directorate of Extension Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner (Rajasthan). Born in Bikaner (Rajasthan) being a Gold Medalist of her Masters course, she received her Doctoral Degree in 1998 from Rajasthan College of Agriculture, RAU, Udaipur. She gained rich knowledge about rural women and their surroundings during her more than 11 years of working experience in different KVKs of Rajasthan from 1994 2000. She has been rendering her services as Manager ATIC, RAU from 2000 2005. She is presently teaching undergraduate students at the College of Home Science ad Students of MBA (AB) Programme of Institute of Agri Business Management (IABM). She is Placement Officer of University Placement Cell as well as IABM. She is honoured to be a regular compere of Gramin Jagat Women’s Programme at All India Radio, Bikaner. She has published a Number of Research papers, articles in various journals, newspapers and magazines.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rashmi Singh

Rashmi Singh is workings a Senior Scientist in IARI, New Delhi. Her Doctoral Research work is on Women Entrepreneurship Development Process. She is an accredited Entrepreneurship Motivation trainer and has an experience of over 14 years in research, training, teaching and extension in the discipline. She has completed research projects on social issues in watershed development, sociological changes due to agricultural modernisation and on entrepreneurship development among rural youth. She has about 100 papers in various journals and magazines to her credit.
