Nonprofit Organisations (NPOs) have evolved over the years around the globe from individuals or religious philanthropic organizations to those that command an influence in the socio-political thoughts of a nation. With globalization, the trend is on to corporatize and commercialize NPOs’ activities without tampering with their mission, in order to continue to serve society. This book takes a close look at this sector and spells out the challenges ahead for them. It also discusses case studies of NPOs like Shri Mahila Gruha Udyog, CRY and Prathama which have withstood changes in the economy and environment.
