ABOUT THE AUTHOR Manoj Kumar Mohanty

Manoj Kumar Mohanty (1953) has 20 years experience as an outstanding teacher and researcher. He is a recipient of many awards and scholarship all through his college and university years. He did his MSc in Botany in 1976 and PhD in 1982 on plant physiology. He has worked extensively on plant biotechnology, cell, tissue, organ and protoplast culture and gene introductions in renowned laboratories. The continuity of his research in the filed of biotechnology, particularly in the specialised area of cell culture, has earned him recognition throughout the world. He is the member of many national and international scientific societies.
