ABOUT THE AUTHOR Hemant Kumar Doniwal

 Hemant Kumar Doniwal, M.A., Ph.D., has had a brilliant academic career. He won Gold Medal for his outstanding performance in M.A. (Geography) Examination. He was appointed as lecturer of geography in 1978 and at present he is working as a reader. He has more than 20 years of service at his credit and hence having a teaching experience of the same duration. As a prolific writer, the author has several publications in geography and allied fields. The author has also to his credit a number of research papers and articles on the subject. He has participated in various refresher courses, seminars and conferences held at the national level from time to time. At present he is working on various projects such as Population Geography of Uttar Pradesh, Indian Political Geography, etc.
