Etymologically, the term ‘Education’ finds its origin in the latin world ‘educare’, meaning ‘to lead out’. In simple terms, education is the process through which one become sable to express one’s inner feelings and thought properly. The present form of educational edifice is the consequence of painstaking and toilsome efforts of our forefathers through whose efforts the system of education could reach us in the present shape. Thanks to all of them! This comprehensive book, encompassing various principles of education and all that has gone in making it rich to a great extent, is but an humble attempt to carry forward the same torch which was passed on to us by our an castors. Similarity, it will benefit and cultivate the minds of the present generation for obtaining more valuable and worthy produce. This work, despite its limitations, would prove to be beneficial for scholars educationists, researchers and students alike.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ashok Pachauri

Ashok Pachauri born 1947 did his MA in psychology and M.Ed. from Agra University he was senior research fellow at NCERT from 1967 to 1971. He has more than 20 eyars of teaching and administraive experience in Postgraduate departments of faculty of education (teachers training) colleges affiliated to kurukshetra and MD University Rohtak. Currently he is head of department of teachers training S.D. Singh P.G. College affiliated to Agra University.
