Youth in all ages have been in the vanguard of progress and social change. The government of India created the separate of Department of Youth Affairs & Sports under the Ministry of Human Resource Development and formulated a National Youth Policy to channelise youth’s energy into constructive work.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Renuka Singh

Renuka Singh is the author of The Womb of Mind (1990), Women Reborn (1997) and has co-authored Growing up in Rural India (1989). She has compiled and edited The Path to Tranquillity (1998), The Transformed Mind (1999), The Little Book of Buddhism (2000) and The Path of the Buddha (2004). These books have been published in several languages.
