Angora wool production is an international industry. The credit of introducing and popularizing Angora rabbits in India goes to Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) through its North Temperate regional Station of Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI), Garsa, Kullu. The CSWRI has also introduced German Angora in 1986, which is one of the best Angora wool per annum. The present book highlights the trend in rabbit wool production in Himachal Pradesh, cost and profitability of wool production along with break even point of rabbit farms in Himachal Pradesh, market structure of rabbit wool, technological gap between existing and potential levels of rabbit wool in Himachal Pradesh. It has also highlighted the problems and constraints of rabbit wool enterprises and suggests suitable measures to overcome them. Based on the findings, suggestions hae been made to improve the existing scenario of rabbitry. Hopefully, the book will be of immense use to economists, agricultural scientists and policy makers alike apart from its usefulness to the rabbit farmers who, if guided will be well informed about the proper use and marketing of Angora wool.
