ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.P. Chaube

Prof. S.P. Chaube (b. 1919) retired as a Professor of Education and Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Gorakhpur in 1979. After doing his M.A. from Banaras Hindu University and M.Ed. from Allahabad University, he earned his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Indiana, USA. Lucknow University conferred on him the degree of D.Litt. in 1965. also, Prof. chaube received the G.J. Watumull Memorial Award and the Banerji Resarch Prize in 1963 and 1965 respectively. Dr. chaube has more than 50 books to his credit in the fields of Education and Psychology, both in Hindi and English. Many of his books are taught as textbooks in several unviversities in the country.
