ABOUT THE AUTHOR R. Jayashankar
Prof. R. Jayashankar is a global management educationist and practitioner. As Dean of the UN Centre ICPE in Ljubljana, Slovenia he launched the first International post experience management programme in Eastern Europe for policy-makers and executives. He was a Diplomat and Industrial Advisor to the Republic of Slovenia in its nascent nationhood. The exposure to transition economies around that period resulted in the development of comprehensive restructuring programmes for Multilateral agencies like the Asian Development Bank, UNDP, World Bank and the Commonwealth Secretariat. As a Professor and Consultant to the Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands from 1992, he has participated in its global outreach teaching, training, and consulting activities for diverse countries including Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Ghana, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Mongolia, Peoples Republic of China, Thailand, Kyrgyztan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Ukraine, Malta, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Peru and Suriname.
