This book is a full collection of a young women’s poetry. Her inquiring mind is readily seen in an early where in first grade she asked her ‘irrelevant or was it irreverent’ question. Susan Arja writes with child-like simplicity, coupled with a metaphysical sensibility, capturing images of the sacred in everyday life. Her poetry is sad and weighty, elusive and unique, playful and ultimately redeeming. The deep, compassionate intelligence of the poet is ever present. The poems reflect her dignity and grace, the sweetness in her, and her indomitable and humble spirit.
