ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rajiv Vikram Singh Gautam
Dr. Rajiv Vikram Singh Gautam (b.1954) graduated from University of Lucknow in 1973, passed M.A. LL.B. and LL.M. from same university. In the year 2004, honoured with the degree of Doctor of Laws by university of Lucknow on topic "Role of Armed Forces in Maintenance of peace with Special Reference fo United nations Charter". The author has about two and half decade experience in Legal and Judicial field. He joined Officer's Training Academy at Chennai (Tamil Nadu) in 1979 and on successful completion of Training was commissioned in Judge Advocate General’s department of Army. Promoted upto the rank of Major, conducted Courts Martial Trials as various Formation Commanders on disciplinary and legal matters of army. Joined U.P. Judicial Service in 1990. Besides working as Chief Judicial Magistrate, posted at District Judiciary in various capacities. As Civil judge (Senior Division) Worked on deputation as Deputy Director (Research) at Institute of Judicial Training and Research, U.P. and at State Law Commission, U.P. The author has participated in wide spectrum of National Seminars/Workshops, Training Programmes/Refresher Courses on different subjects relating to judicial/ Legal field. His articles/research papers have been published in various journals electronic media from time to time.
