This is achieved mostly by a system of regulating and supervising the entities and banking is no exception. ABOUT THE AUTHOR A.K. Sohani

A K Sohani holds an M.Sc degree from Osmania University.He is a qualified associate of the Institute of Bankers. He has acquired CAIIB qualification and has done his Sabbatical with Administrative staff college of India (ASCI). Prior to joining Icfai Business School Research Centre, Hyderabad, as a Senior Consulting Editor, he worked with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as Chief General Manager, and was associated with it in capacities as Regional Director of Nagpur Office. He also worked as Executive Director with National Housing Bank (NHB).

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ravi Kumar Jain B

Ravi Kumar Jain B holds an MBA (Finance) from Osmania University, Hyderabad and PGDOTM (E-commerce and EDI) from AIMA, New Delhi. He has worked as an assistant professor in a reputed B-school for four years in Hyderabad. Presently, he is working as a faculty member at ICFAI Books, a division of the ICFAI University Press. He has presented several research papers in national and international conferences in India and abroad. Many of his articles were published in reputed refereed journals. He has received 'Researcher of the Year' award from the Vice President of India, for the best contribution in an international conference on Enhancing Global Business Competitiveness in November 2004, at New Delhi. His areas of interest include outsourcing, e-commerce, strategic management, technology in business and topics of national interest.
