It is an attempt to throw light at exploring the contribution of women journalists in creation of socio-political consciousness especially among women and for women in post independence era. The relevance of this book lies in the fact that it is the first and foremost point that the status of women should be improved in general. The basic need of present house is to bring the women in national main-stream in such a way as it appears they are actually part of it, not merely making them as ‘Show-pieces’ for catching to us.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Seema Varma
Dr. Mrs. Seema Varma is Head of Department of Political, Science inMahila Maha Vidyala, Kidwainagar Kanpur. She was born at Varanasi and completed her education at Varanasi and Dehradun. She got M.a. (Political Science) and Ph.D. Degree from Kanpur University. Besides teaching she is programme officer of N.S.S. in her college. She has Organised also National Seminar in her college. On the occasion of International women day 8th March 2003 she was honoured for her best performance in college services.
