ABOUT THE AUTHOR Prabhakar Singh

Dr. Prabhakar Singh (b. 1943) obtained his masters degree in psychology from Gorakhpur University in the year 1964 and Ph.D. in industrial psychology from Kashi Vidyapith in the year 1969. After obtaining Ph.D. he worked as post doctoral fellow at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. During his tenure as post doctoral fellow he completed a study titled ‘Productivity and Morale in Relation to Personality Patterns of Industrial Workmen.’ After this period he joined Tata Institute of Social Sciences as lecturer. After leaving Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Singh worked as Research Officer (Management Development) in the Management Development department of Bokaro Steel Plant, Bokaro. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor of Personnel Management in the department of Management Studies, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He has several research publications to his credit and many of his research publications are extensively referred by subject experts in their books.
