ABOUT THE AUTHOR M. Yakadri
M. Yakadri, M.Sc, Ph.D. has over 10 years of experience in teaching, research and extension at Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad. He has specialized in cropping systems research, fertility management of soil and other areas of research in Agronomy. He has published over fifteen scientific papers in reputed journals of National and International importance. He guided a number of Postgraduate students.

P.V. Prasada Rao, M.Sc. Ph.D. , is presently Assistant Professor in Agronomy Department of Kansas State University, USA. He was Post-doctoral Research Associate, Agronomy, University of Florida, USA and Post-doctoral Research Fellow, University of Reading, UK, after obtaining Ph.D., from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad. His areas of research interests include understanding crop responses to abiotic stress; conducting research to develop best management practices for efficient use of resources, maximizing crop yielding and minimizing environmental risk etc.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR V. Radha Krishna Murthy
Dr. V. Radha Krishna Murthy did his M.Sc. (Ag0 in Agricultural Meteorology from P.A.U. Ludhiana, and Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He obtained his Ph.D. (Agronomy) from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. He learnt operational techniques in agrometeorology and crop growth modeling from the world renowned scientists Prof. T.N. Balasubramanian, TNAU, Coimbatore, India and Prof. J.W. Jones, University of Florida, U.S.A. respectively. He has put up 17 years of experience in farm management, research, teaching and extension. He is at present Associate professor (Agronomy) in ANGRAU, Hyderabad. He has published over 30 research articles, several popular articles and also the author for “Practical Manual on Agricultural Meteorology†and “Terminology in Agricultural Meteorologyâ€. His books are part of reference material in India and also popular in the development countries.
