The present book is a groundbreaking research on the voices and vision of Vivekananda in English Literature. Vivekananda needs no introduction as one of the greatest religious leaders and philosophers of the modern India. But few of us recognise him as one of the pioneers of Indian English Literature, a mystic poet, a trend setter in prose style and one who broke English from Macaulayan style of writing. It explores the various shaping influences on him as a man, writer, orator and philosopher. It gives almost a complete view of Vivekananda his life, formative influences, critical evaluation of his prose style, poetry, oratorical skill and his philosophy. Also selected speeches and poems of Vivekananda are given in Appendix. The book, would prove a companion for the readers and scholars of Vivekananda.
