The case studies are very exhaustive with lot of statistically analysed data and they are expected to meet the needs of teachers of M.B.A/PGDBA programmes, executive trainers and public policy trainers involved in training civil servants of the state and central governments. ABOUT THE AUTHOR P. Venkataramana

Dr. Panchadi Venkataramana is the Project Director for union Labour Ministry’s research programme at Tamilnadu Institute of labour Studies, Chennai. A graduate in Commerce and economics (Andhra university) and post graduate in Public Administration (Andhra university), research Methodology (TISS –Bombay) and Marleting Management (Pondicherry university), Dr. enkataramana received Ph.D., for his thesis, “ Management of development Corporations” from the faculty of Social Sciences, Osmania university, Hyderabad in 1985. he published 25 research articles in management journals and completed 25 research and consultancy projects for Union and State Governments and Public and private sector companies in India. He served as a faculty member at the Institute of Public Enterprise and centre for Organization development and worked as a Branch manager in Indian express group of newspapers. His main interest is in research in management. He co-authored a book on organization Theory for the Indira Gandhi national Open University.
