ABOUT THE AUTHOR V.C. Khilare

Dr. V.C. Khilare is lecturer in P.G. department of Botany, Vasantrao Nail Mahavidyala, Aurangabad. He did his M.Sc.and Ph.D. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. His area of research is biocontrol of plant pathogens, fungicide resistance in plant pathogens and rhizosphere pathology. He has participated in more than 30 national and international conference in India. He is research guide and four students are working under his guidance. He has published more than 30 research papers in national and internationally journals in the field of plant Pathology, pesticides, biofertilizers, microbial physiology and rhizosphere pathology. Dr. Khilare is life member of many professional bodies. He has edited two books namely 'Seed technology' and 'Integrated Disease Management of crop Plants'. He was recipient of 'Tilak Award', 'Deshpande Award' for Dominion First at M.Sc., P.R. Verma Award by SMPP, Udaipur for his excellent work in management of fungicide resistance and application of biopesticides. He was 'Councillor’ of Indian Phytopathological Society (WZ). Recently UGC, New Delhi sanctioned the major research project on ‘Biocontrol of Plant Pathogens' to him.
