Globalisation is the continous process by which restriction and hurdles are minimized in the field of trade investment and flow of return. Today, there are 149 member countries of W.T.O. where 5 billion population live and 80% trade is involved. This has reached to the height from where using reverse gear is dangerous. India has become of W.T.O. and chosen the policy of globalisation voluntarily. Now it is useless to talk much about the negativity of globalisation and is required to find ways and means so that the country may complete with full competence and comfort. Globalisation has made multi-dimensional effects and impacts in India’s foreign trade. We have trade relations with more than about 150 countries and deal in thousands of goods and services. Even though our part in the global trade is about 0.4% only but we have every opportunity to increase it. But we have many problems and limitations like lack of standardization and better quality of exported goods, procedural delays, negative attitude of bureaucracy, confusing policies, rues and regulations made and implements, lack of professionalism etc. The book “Globalization and Foreign Trade’ is a humble attempt to analyze the cha in conditions relating with foreign trade like role of bilateral and multi-lateral trade agreements, government assistance and cooperation for expanding foreign trade, changing pattern in relation with commodity, country and currency, new challenges and opportunities, demand of professionalism. This book will be useful for exporters and importers, industrialists, planners, government officials and all other person who deal in foreign trade and development in any way.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Man Chand Khandela

Prof. Man Chand Khandela is Director of Subodh Institute of Management & Career Studies, Jaipur affiliated to the university of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He has created a special place for himself, in the economic world, on account of his exceptional educational qualifications, (M.Com., M.A.., (Pub. Admin., Pol.Sc., and Sociology), M.B.A., M.Phil, LL.B. Ph.D., FUWAI) and his multidimensional writing, active association with various international and national organizations and exemplary social service. Prof. Khandela has contributed more than 3000 articles and papers in more than 70 national and international journals, periodicals and newspapers of repute. He has written dozens of books on various subjects. He has organized and participated in a number of international and national seminars, conferences and workshops. Presently, Prof. Khandela is secretary of research development Association, Joint Secretary of Jaipur Management Association, Managing editor of Journal of Accounting and Finance, management Chronicle and Industrial mechanism. Prof. Khandela has been honoured and awarded by many international and national orgainsations including a life Time Achievement Award by United Writers Association of India, Chennai and Rajeev Gandhi Shiromani Award by Global economic Council, New Delhi.
