The Indian government has been following the philosophy of progressive liberalization in the aviation sector by allowing the entry of new private players, especially low-cost carriers, changing the face of the sector. In this scenario, one challenge remains of overcoming the severe inadequacy of infrastructure. V V Ravi Kumar is a graduate in Science and a postgraduate in Business Administration in Marketing from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has corporate experience of over nine years in the Banking and Logistics business. During his stint in the Banking industry, he has specialized in the area of marketing the Banking products and services. Presently, he is working as Consulting Editor at the ICFAI Busines School Research Centre, Chennai. His areas of interest are marketing strategy and services marketing.
