Medicinal and aromatic plants constitute a segment of the flora, which provide raw material for use in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, fragrance and flavour industries throughout the world. As India is endowed with a wide range of soil and climatic conditions, it is one of the few countries where most of the medicinal and aromatic crops can be cultivated successfully in some parts or the other.
An attempt has therefore been made to consolidate the available information on the scientific cultivation of the commercially important 49 medicinal and aromatic crops in this book
This book will be useful as a reference material to the students, teachers, extension workers and literate farmers.
