With reference to the Charismatic Renewal Movement in the Catholic Church, the book explores the characteristic features of the movement and its growth with particular attention to the movement in Japan. Presenting a brief history of the Catholic Church in Japan, it explores various aspects of the movement in Japan such as the ecclesial authorities and the movement, the activities associated with the renewal services in the country and the fruits of baptism in the holy spirit in Japan. It points out that the movement has seen a success in Japan by providing the people a freshness in their spiritual lives. The book studies cases of individuals who have had a positive experience with the movement. It shows that the movement has adapted itself to the situation in Japan even while the fundamental features of the Charismatic spirituality has been kept intact.
