The book Threats to Indian Republic dealt with a wide range of burning topics pertaining to politics, administration, gaps in laws, constitution. The subject of accountability and transparency is analysed thoroughly. The index to the book should be the best reference point to the topics discussed. The foreword by Sri Mahmood Bin Muhammed outlined briefly the topics covered and their quality. On 15.08. 06. on the eve of 59 year of independence, Sri Manmohan Singh PM mentioned about the twin threats to the republic namely Terrorism and Maoism. The book makes it clear that rampant indiscipline in all walks of life, inefficiency, corruption, favouritism, Nepotism, arbitrary and capricious decisions of the executive, wrong economic policies which do not address the poor, above all criminalised polity are bigger threats we face. Unless we tackle the later we cannot succeed in the cause we intend to serve. More than the ordinary readers, the book attracts the attention of Sri APJ Abdul Kalam, Sri Man Mohan Singh and Smt. Sonia Gandhi and all the well meaning leaders across the political spectrum known for their integrity in public life and that they address themselves to the issues raised and reverse the slide down hill.
